Who We Are
The Apostle Peter reminds us how important it is for us to bear in mind who we are and whose we are. "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy" (1 Peter 2:9-10 ESV). At Redeemer Lutheran Church we rejoice in the Good News of a Savior who has redeemed us, purchased and won us from all sins, from death, and from the power of the devil with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death. Now, as those whom God has called out of the darkness of sin into His marvelous light by means of His Word and Sacraments, we gather together as His people. Here, our risen Savior continues to come to us through Word and Sacrament, nourishing and strengthening our faith that we might proclaim this Good News about Jesus to others who need so desperately to hear. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
